People in government are not angels, and therefore innocent citizens get f...ed. To assume that, just because our system is better than in the USSR, we should not be vigilant and watch out for the government's overreach - now, THAT'S DELUSIONAL!

За мои двадцать с хвостом лет жизни в штатах, я не знаю ни одного нормального человека, которого бы за ничего, серьезно наказали, через государственные органы. Ни одного.
Я согласен, что может случится все. И на высоком уровне, тут тоже могут пришимить конкретно/хитро, но ходить и бояца за себя, я бы точно не стал бы. Ето чистая параноя которая к старости может плохо кончить
Главное понимать, что ничего перфект в мире нет, но жить нужно без оглядки назад

Леди, ну и что? Ну переживаешь, злишься, пар из ушей пускаешь, и что??? Изменить ты все равно ничего не сможешь. Допустим это так и ты об этом узнала, а o скольких других вещах ты не знаешь и никогда не узнаешь. Так, выбор твой, жить с постоянной параноей или расслабиться и получать удовольствие от жизни пока это возможно.
Тут очень уместen the serenity prayer:

Reina, I am sure many people in Nazi Germany felt the same way. They watched their neighbors, then friends, then family be victimized. Freedom is something you have to continue to fight for, it is not guaranteed as history repeatedly shows us.

Isn't this a good thing??? If ever this information prevented a person from getting a job or obtaining health insurance, then it would become a legal issue and would be dealt with accordigly.

I feel freer in this country than I would anywhere else in the world! Freedom is a very relative term as none of us are trully free as there will ALWAYS be a group of "leaders" whereever there is a society. So, the big comparisons you're making don't really jive here, ya know?

Повторяю этот пост - согласна, слышала и видела. И создалось впечатление, что это все ошибки исполнителей американских законов, сталкивалась с непрофессионализмом многих работников гос сектора. Может быть лень или умственная ограниченность, или давление сверху в раскрытии каких-то преступлений, но очень часто наказуются люди невиновные, случайные. И уходят годы на реабилитацию этих людей с фактически разбитой жизнью.

Testing used for health reasons only, in the hands of dedicated professionals is never a bad thing if it saves lives. Profiling and using information, gained without consent, used by big Pharma is not. Too bad we cannot trust our leaders to have our best interests solely at heart.
Amazing how we have seen such a rise in Autisem in children in such a modern medical testing age.
Hmmm. The last time I went through an airport and the TSA stuck their hands down my pants, I didn't feel to free (Or safe) Freedom is never taken away all at once, but errods overtime when the population refuses to stand up and enforce the checks and balances that our forefathers knew we desperately need. I wonder if some of the protesters in Pittsburg or seattle at the WTO conferences felt free when they were beaten, gassed, and held against their 1st, 4th & 5th amendment rights. Reply back when the local cops (Like in Indiana now) bust down your door without a warent, because they thought they heard something...

The security measures (albeit not administered with the greatest integrity and not especially effective) were instituted after the 9/11 attacks or have you forgotten? There were almost no restrictions to flying prior to 9/11. Are you saying that your personal "freedom" (as I'm still not sure how you trully define it or know how to define it) is more important than the freedom of people as a whole? You're probably opposed to vaccinations too, right?
There is no proof as to what autism should be liked to and you can try to find causes that will support your argument but none of them will be proven by science. Autism is likely linked to a combination of things without one single factor responsible for it.
How do you propose medical testing causes autism?

Actually, they were not originally administered with the "Patriot Act" The naked body scanners and TSA groping has been in effect for about 1 year, Long after 911. Since I lost friends in the towers, I will never forget that day. But as Thomas Jefferson said I would rather be exposed to the inconvieneces of attending too much liberty than to those attending too a small degree of it. More people die each year of bee stings than from domestic terrorism, but we don't have the same reaction to bees do we?
How does excluding the constitution give people more freedom? "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance" (TJ). many things in the world are dangerous (Like driving a car) but we still do them. Most bad government has grown out of too much government. The role of government as per the constitution is to protect the "Personal Liberty" of the people, not restrict it (Even in the name of supposed safely).
When the government fears the people you have liberty, when the people fear the government you have Tyranny (TJ) the last time you were pulled over by a police officer, were you worried or happy? Did you get butterflies in your stomach? Has a judge ever told you to be quiet and not listen to your argument in court? I would ask myself how did that feel, and did you feel you were in control of your life at that moment?
As far as Autisim goes, my comment was directed to modern medicine in general, not to vaccinations. I will say, like reading the label on a can of food, I check things out on my own before I expose my child to them. There are many medical professionals that have issues with vaccines, but that is for another discussion.

А про черного, которыи 20 лет отсидел за то что он не совершил, ну так он врядли был анор рол студент с шансом попасть в Гарвард до етого. Скорее всего до етого судимыи, или связаныи с криминал елементом. Если нет -- то значит он из того десятка невезучих. Но десятка, не тысяч или миллионов как пытаюца нам доказать. Я признаю, что наверно есть единицы таких, но ето не в америке дело, и везде такое может произоити. Как раз в америке ето скорее исключение из правил.

Икзектлы. Думай, и участвуйте. Если бы была общегосударственная 100%-я база DNA, то многие жестокие преступления раскрывали бы за час - по крови, сперме, волосам, коже и еще многому можно было определить участников в течении часа, и многие невернно осужденные нокогда бы не были осуждены. Я "ЗА" повальный DNA тест у всех, впервую очеред чтобы быть ИСКЛЮЧЕННЫМ из списка подозреваемых. Хотите свободы, хотите не гнить на нарах по прихоти прокурора и адвокатов - поддержите национальную компанию по сбору DNA, защитите себя и своих детей.
