We are looking for a dedicated and Active Driver Hiring and Relation Specialist to join our team in office located at 1051 E Main St Unit 218, East Dundee, IL 60118
This role focuses on recruiting qualified drivers and fostering positive relationships with them to enhance retention and job satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruitment, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to creating a supportive work environment for our drivers. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment: Develop and implement strategies to attract, screen, and hire qualified drivers. Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and networking. Candidate Assessment: Conduct interviews, background checks, and driving record assessments to evaluate candidates’ qualifications and suitability. Onboarding: Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Driver Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with drivers through regular communication, feedback sessions, and engagement initiatives. Retention Strategies: Collaborate with management to develop and implement retention programs and initiatives that address driver needs and concerns. Training Coordination: Assist in coordinating training sessions and resources for new drivers to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles. Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from drivers to identify areas for improvement and enhance the overall driving experience. Reporting and Analysis: Track and report on recruitment and retention metrics, providing insights to management for continuous improvement.
General requirements: Minimum of 2 years of Safety Department experience Previous experience in recruiting, especially within the transportation or logistics industry Familiarity with driver qualification standards and DOT regulations Proficient in sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities to engage effectively with drivers Strong time management and multitasking capabilities to handle various recruitment tasks simultaneously Proactive and self-motivated with a strong customer service orientation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Adaptability to changing priorities and business need Ability to address driver concerns and resolve conflicts effectively Willingness and ability to learn new things
