For a legal receptionist or a clerk, it's definitely a must to be fluent in the languages the clientele speaks, for example Russian and Polish. Ukrainian and Lithuanian are a plus, but clients from these countries understand Russian. Otherwise, a prospective employee needs to be very responsible and detail-oriented, promptly returning calls, getting assignments done. Generally, for a receptionist, no prior experience is necessary, as the job mostly involves answering phones, greeting clients, opening mail and mailing out letters. It's helpful if clerks are experienced in handling real estate transactions and filling out immigration forms, but every lawyer has his way of doing things and a good employer will always go through a training program with a new employee to reinforce employee's knowledge obtained from prior experience and to reinsure the employer that the employee understands his or her job duties and the substantive issues involved. Generally, no special education or prior experience is required, as the long as the person can demonstrate to be competent.
Вот и всё.

Sounds like I could do that Thank you, Igor. Do any Russian lawyers have offices in Chicago itself not in suburbs?
