Stas, please use the word "disinfection" instead of "sterilization". NOBODY in this country will use "sterilization" for the process that you've described. You are welcome.

"Sterilization" these days is used to describe a birth control method when fallopian tubes get cut. It is a synonym of "neutering". It still can me used in microbiology etc but not for general public.
