We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Manager with a strong background in flatbed trucking operations. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our fleet, ensuring the efficiency and safety of all vehicles, and overseeing maintenance, scheduling, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing flatbed fleets and a proven track record in maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s flatbed fleet, ensuring vehicles are fully operational and compliant with DOT regulations.
Develop and implement fleet management strategies to optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
Monitor and maintain fleet maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize fleet productivity.
Ensure all trucks are properly inspected and that necessary repairs and maintenance are performed in a timely manner.
Manage a team of drivers and support staff, ensuring proper training and adherence to company policies and safety standards.
Coordinate with the logistics and dispatch teams to ensure efficient route planning and timely deliveries.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and safety standards.
Prepare and manage the fleet's budget, including cost tracking, fuel management, and repair expenses.
Monitor and analyze fleet performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Handle incident reports, accidents, and insurance claims as necessary.
