Safety Manager Trucking Company

We are looking for an experienced Safety Manager to join our trucking company.

Requirements:

Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Safety Manager in the trucking industry.
Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.
Experience with DQ Files, driver qualification and onboarding.
Managing claims from start to finish accident reporting, investigation, communication with insurance companies and brokers.
Experience working with DataQ challenges and violation corrections.
Knowledge of HOS, ELD systems Samsara, Motive, etc., and driver compliance.
CSA score monitoring and safety improvement.
Accident investigations and root cause analysis.
Drug & Alcohol program management pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion.
MVR, PSP review and driver monitoring.
Handling roadside inspections, violations and Out-of-Service cases.
Experience with Clearinghouse, medical cards, CDL compliance and driver files.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

Ensure full FMCSA/DOT compliance.
Oversee the company’s safety department.
Manage accident claims and insurance cases.
Submit and manage DataQ requests.
Monitor driver performance, violations and CSA scores.
Conduct safety coaching and corrective actions.
Maintain complete and compliant driver qualification files.
Work closely with dispatch, maintenance, insurance companies and brokers.
Develop and improve company safety policies and procedures.

Preferred:

Experience with Amazon Relay, Motive/Samsara, Fleetio or similar transportation software.
Bilingual English/Russian is a plus.
