Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Shop Manager Assistant to support daily shop operations and ensure all incoming and outgoing equipment and devices are properly documented, installed, and tracked. This role is key to maintaining smooth inventory control, supporting drivers with equipment, and assisting in the operational needs of the shop.
Key Responsibilities:
Inbound/Outbound Photos:
Take and catalog detailed photos of all trucks and trailers during inbound and outbound processes for documentation and damage tracking.
Device Installation & Setup:
Install and set up all necessary devices in trucks and equipment (e.g., ELDs, GPS units, dashcams, tablets, etc.), ensuring functionality and readiness for use.
Cargo Equipment Disbursement:
Distribute cargo-related equipment (e.g., straps, load bars, tarps) to drivers or shop personnel as needed, maintaining accurate records of what is issued.
Driver Equipment Invoicing:
Prepare and process equipment invoices for drivers, ensuring accurate documentation of items issued and billing if applicable.
Inbound Inventory Counts:
Perform regular inbound inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels and assist with inventory control for shop supplies and driver equipment.
