UE LINE INC is hiring a Safety Manager

UE LINE INC is looking for a hands-on Safety Manager to oversee daily safety operations across our fleet. This is a critical role focused on execution, consistency, and driver accountability — making sure safety standards are followed and issues are addressed immediately.

We are not looking for passive management. We need someone detail-oriented, structured, and results-driven who can stay on top of drivers and the safety team every single day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Take ownership of fleet safety performance with a clear focus on improving CSA scores and reducing violations across all BASICs
Analyze safety data inspections, HOS, incidents, trends and identify root causes impacting overall company performance
Drive measurable improvements in CSA scores through structured action plans and consistent execution
Monitor driver behavior and enforce strict accountability standards — correct, retrain, or escalate when needed
Make recommendations on driver status, including discipline and termination decisions for high-risk or non-compliant drivers
Implement and improve company-wide safety processes, SOPs, and enforcement structures
Lead the safety team with a focus on results, consistency, and daily execution
Ensure ELD compliance, logbook audits, and safety monitoring are proactive, not reactive
Work closely with operations to align dispatch, planning, and safety standards
Identify gaps in current systems and introduce changes that improve safety performance at a company level
Support leadership with clear reporting, insights, and action plans for continuous improvement

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3+ years experience as a Safety Manager in a trucking company REQUIRED
Proven track record of improving CSA scores and reducing violations across Unsafe Driving, HOS, and Inspections
Strong, working knowledge of FMCSA regulations, HOS, ELD systems, DOT inspections, and compliance enforcement
Experience managing a safety team and driver coaching programs with measurable results
Ability to analyze safety data, identify root causes, and implement corrective action plans
Confident decision-maker — able to enforce policies, discipline drivers, and make termination recommendations when necessary
Highly organized with strong reporting, tracking, and follow-up discipline
Hands-on leader — actively involved in daily operations, not just oversight
Strong communication skills — direct, firm, and professional with drivers and internal teams
Must be available evenings and weekends for urgent situations or escalations
