Trucking company seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in U.S. trucking safety, FMCSA compliance, and fleet risk management.

📝 Responsibilities:
✔️ Ensuring full FMCSA, DOT, and state compliance across fleet and operations
✔️ Managing and maintaining Drug & Alcohol testing program including paperwork and compliance
✔️ Monitoring Hours of Service HOS logs for violations, accuracy, and patterns
✔️ Overseeing Clearinghouse registrations, queries, and annual checks
✔️ Conducting Driver onboarding, qualification & file management
📁 DQ files, MVR checks, PSP, previous employer verifications, endorsements, medical cards, etc.
✔️ Handling incident/accident reporting, investigations, and documentation
✔️ Conducting preventive safety training & driver coaching HOS, logs, inspections, distracted driving, etc.
✔️ Monitoring CSA Scores and improving safety performance
✔️ Working with insurance companies on claims, renewals, audits
✔️ Preparing documentation for DOT audits & internal audits
✔️ Managing ELD compliance and resolving technical/log issues
✔️ Maintaining accurate records for IFTA, IRP, UCR, HVUT if assigned to role
✔️ Collaborating with operations to reduce violations, risks, and accidents

📚 Required Skills & Knowledge

Applicants must have:
✔️ 2+ years experience in Safety & Compliance for trucking/freight
✔️ Strong working knowledge of FMCSA & DOT regulations
✔️ Deep understanding of:
📊 HOS rules, exceptions & ELD platforms
📑 Driver qualification standards
🛠️ Vehicle maintenance files & DVIR processes
📉 CSA BASIC categories & violation codes
🧪 Drug & Alcohol programs & Clearinghouse

✔️ Experience with:
💻 ELD platforms Samsara, Motive, Omnitracs, etc.
🌐 FMCSA Portal, Safer, SMS, Clearinghouse
📂 Claims reporting auto liability, cargo, worker injuries
✔️ High attention to detail & organization
✔️ Strong communication & driver coaching abilities
✔️ Ability to work independently and cross-department
✔️ Experience with IFTA/IRP/UCR filings
✔️ Bilingual Russian/English
