The Transportation Claims Manager manages all administration throughout the lifecycle of claims, acting as a liaison between our transportation providers, claim adjusters, legal representatives, and internal operations and sales teams.
Responsibilities:
Receive, process, and manage all cargo claims in a timely manner. Drives claims toward judicious resolution through effective and timely communication with all relevant parties during a claim’s lifecycle. Aids operations teams on potential cargo issues, including helping transportation providers organize transloads, reworks, and repower loads as needed. Keeps current on customer contracts and transportation and cargo laws. Provides insight on prospective customer contracts to best protect the interest of the Company in respect to claims liability. Develop relationships with internal staff and external customer decision-makers. Support leadership by identifying potential problems, working toward solutions, accepting added duties and or responsibilities as needed. Serve as a primary point of contact for questions on operations’ best practices, broker and carrier liability, and all overage, shortage, and damage issues.
The Claims Manager is responsible for receiving, reviewing, investigating and recommending a course of action on all aspects of cargo claims received from customers. Position will also develop and implement necessary aspects of a cargo loss prevention program, and work closely with senior management and insurance carriers.
Qualifications: Transportation industry experience required. Prior cargo claims experience required Proven experience in safety management and compliance (DOT/FMCSA). Strong knowledge of safety regulations, industry best practices, and claims management. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Bilingual (English & Russian or Ukrainian) required.
