We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented FMCSA Safety Director to oversee and manage our company’s safety and compliance programs within the transportation industry. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, fleet safety operations, driver compliance, and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities
Oversee company compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations
Monitor and improve CSA scores and safety performance
Manage driver qualification files, HOS compliance, ELD monitoring, and drug & alcohol programs
Conduct safety audits, investigations, and corrective action plans
Develop and implement safety policies and training programs
Review accident reports and coordinate incident response procedures
Ensure compliance with vehicle maintenance and inspection requirements
Work closely with dispatch, operations, and management teams to maintain safety standards
Prepare for DOT audits and maintain all required compliance documentation

Requirements
Previous experience in transportation safety or FMCSA compliance
Strong understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations
Experience with HOS, ELD systems, and safety monitoring platforms
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Experience handling DOT audits and compliance reviews preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management software
