Trucking Company Hiring: Equipment Manager
A growing trucking company is looking for an experienced Equipment Manager to oversee equipment procurement, inventory management, and maintenance operations. This role is essential in ensuring our fleet operates efficiently, remains cost-effective, and stays compliant with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of equipment procurement, inventory, and maintenance.
Develop strategies to reduce repair costs through preventive maintenance, minimizing downtime, and negotiating repair contracts.
Track repair expenses using data and metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure timely repairs and routine maintenance to prevent costly emergency breakdowns.
Maintain accurate records of all equipment maintenance, repairs, and service history.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure equipment availability.
Conduct orientation for new drivers on equipment handling and maintenance.
Train, supervise, and evaluate equipment and maintenance staff.
Ensure compliance with all legal and safety requirements.
Requirements:
Experience in the trucking industry managing equipment for fleets of at least 70 trucks.
Bilingual (English & Russian or Ukrainian) required.
CDL is mandatory.
Previous experience in a similar role is a must.
