Mr. Gromov podskazite, pozalujsta!!! Situacija takaja, v nacale renta mne nado bilo zaplatit deposite, ja ego zaplatila, lease zakancivajetsia v konce oktiabria, Landlord skazal, cto otdast deposite tolko v konce nojabria, no po vsej verojatnosti, on nam dajot poniat, cto deposita mi ne uvidem, tak on pridumajet za cto s nas vziat viscitat dengi iz nego! S pervogo nojabria zdes uze budut zit drugije liudi, a eto oznacajet, cto kvartira v otlicnom sostojanije, cto bi ejo srazu ze sdavat! Cto mi sdelali, mi ostanovili poslednij check, t.k. uvereni, cto on nam ne otdadit deposite, on nas zapugivajet, cto isportit nam credit history ili vigonit nas iz kvartiri!!! Skazite eto realno, ili on prosto zapugivajet? Spasibocki

Я думаю, что лендлорд поступает согласно установленным правилам. Депозит всегда возвращают не сразу после выезда. Возможно, что с вас что-то вычтут, конечно за чистку, но депозит вернуть должны. Из чего имеено вы сделали вывод, что не вернут?

У меня тоже 1 ноября контракт лиза истекает. Я сделала проще. Написала письмо в менеджмент, что последний месяц живу за счет секьюрити депозит и все, никаких проблем вроде как не было!

Security Deposits
The landlord can require a security deposit which may be used to cover unpaid rent, repair damages to the unit, and clean the unit after you move. The amount of the security deposit is normally equal to one month's rent, however, there is no legal limit on the amount the landlord can require.
Interest on Security Deposit
State law requires the landlord to pay 5% interest on the security deposit if it is held for at least six months and there are at least 25 units in the building or complex. The landlord must pay the interest or apply the interest as a credit to the rent every 12 months. The tenant can sue the landlord for willfully failing to pay interest and recover an amount equal to the security deposit, court costs, and attorney's fees.
Return of Security Deposit
The Illinois Security Deposit Return Act requires the landlord to return the security deposit in full within 45 days of the date the tenant moves if:
The building or complex consists of 5 or more units.
No back rent is owed.
There is no damage to the unit.
The unit is cleaned before you move.
If the landlord refuses to return all or any portion of the security deposit, he/she must present an itemized statement of the damages along with paid receipts within 30 days of the date the tenant moves. Suit can be brought against the landlord to recover security deposits. If a court finds that the landlord violated the security deposit law, he/she could be liable for damages in an amount equal to two times the security deposit, court costs, and attorney's fees.

Кстати при возврашении депозита они должны его вернуть с процентами. По краинеи мере у меня так было.

U menya vernuli cherez 3 nedeli. Alina, po-moemu, vi zrya eto sdelali s chekom. Lease zakanchivaetsya 31st october, poluchaetsya, deposit cherez 3-4 nedeli, vpolne obichno.
