Sobirayus' podavat' na grazhdanstvo, i natknulsya na nebolshuyu problemku, kotoraya potenstial'no mozhet vsyo isportit'. Ya prozhil v USA 5 let s green cartoi, i NE zaregistrirovalsya s Selective Services. Nikakoi uvazhitelnoi prichiny ne bylo. Seichas mne 27. U kogo-nibud' byla podobnaya situatsiya? Mozhet-li eto povliyat' na poluchenie grazhdanstva? Est'-li vyhody? Spasibo.

Hi I had similar case I enter country at 24 and at time when I applied for citizenship I was almost 31. On application I explained everyithing what happened and an officer in INS told me that there is no questions because at the time of interview I was 31 and it was really smooth. I don't know how it will be in your case

Vlad, could you tell me exactly how you "explained everything"? See, you could have entered the US before age 26, but became a permanent resident after age 26. In which case you weren't required to register with SSS. I became a permanent resident when I was 22, and had absolutely no excuse not to register.
