9/19: Beat Kitchen Concert for Kids Featuring Mary Macaroni Sponsored by ChicagoKids.com The Beat Kitchen Concerts for Kids! Series Kickoff Block Party took place this past Sunday, featuring Mr. Singer and the Sharp Cookies, Little Miss Ann Band, Human Tim + Robot Tim and Bucktown Music. We had a blast! You can see more pictures on our Facebook page. The concert series begins this Sunday with a performance by Mary Macaroni, and next Sunday it's Human- Tim + Robot-Tim. Harvest Jam 2010 Sunnyside between Western Ave. and Lincoln Ave., Chicago September 17-19 The festival includes carnival games, live bands (to be announced soon on www.HarvestJam.com), food vendors, dancing, magic, face painting, pumpkin decorating, karaoke and many other fun activities. 10th Annual County Fair Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 North Central Park Ave., Chicago September 18 Experience the excitement of a county fair in the middle of the city, Chicago’s original urban hoedown. County Fair is an annual event celebrating both the annual harvest and healthy communities in an urban setting on Chicago’s west side. The event will illustrate for visitors traditional harvest practices and new possibilities in urban agriculture. $5, under 3 free. 11 am – 4 pm.
ScoutFEST 100 & Family Friendly Smash Mouth Concert Northerly Island, 1300 S. Lynn White Dr., Chicago September 18 The day-long festival will feature hikes through downtown, rock climbing, kite flying, model car racing, and much much more! Circus in the Parks Welles Park, 2333 W. Sunnyside, Chicago September 18-19 Circus in the Parks, featuring the Midnight Circus, is a whimsical assortment of acrobats, aerialists, clowns and contortionists. The Circus will be performing outdoors at five Chicago Parks on the north side September 11th through October 17th. Circus in the Parks is a collaborative community fund raising effort. All ticket proceeds will be equally split between all participating parks. Tickets available for advance purchase at www.CircusintheParks.com. $15 per person, Children under 2 years free.
