Larkman Construction is a family owned and operated utility and excavating construction contractor that has been operating in southeastern Wisconsin since 1989. We are growing and looking for team members to grow with us!
We are recruiting for multiple full-time positions including Foreman, Equipment Operators and CDL Drivers that will be responsible for safely and efficiently completing all aspects of completing underground and aerial utility projects that may include but are not limited to placing underground or aerial utility cable, manhole construction, and directional boring. We are looking for team members who are positive, outgoing, energetic, hard-working and motivated as this is a fast paced work environment. Must have reliable transportation and show up to work EVERY DAY and ON TIME!
Experience is required. Not looking for general laborers.
Travel within state is necessary.
Hours are approximately 6:00am to 3:00pm but schedules will vary and extended weekday or weekend hours will be required.
Pay is based on experience and skill level with room for growth within our company. Benefits includes employee health insurance, holiday pay, paid personal days and retirement plan with employer match.
Requirements:
* 2+ years prior construction experience required
* Valid drivers license with no restrictions required
* Reliable transportation from home to shop required
* Experience with a variety of electric and pneumatic construction hand tools required
* Basic mechanical knowledge required
* Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a skidsteer, excavator, forklift, etc. required
* Valid CDL preferred
* Directional boring knowledge preferred
* Ability to read construction blueprints and drawings preferred
* Good math and measuring skills
* Willingness to learn and take direction
* Works well with a team to get job done in a professional, timely manner
* Must be able to maintain safe and clean work environment
* The employee will be frequently required to stand, crouch, kneel or crawl and must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
* Employee must be able to climb onto trailers or trucks to secure and move equipment as well as climb ladders to access trenches and underground utility manholes
* The employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and may work in varying
degrees of confined spaces
