The Stella Hotel & Ballroom in Kenosha is looking for a full time Restaurant Manager to lead our team. Housed within the hotel, the 1844 Table & Mash restaurant/bar pays homage to supper clubs of the past, but with a fresh and modern twist. Our hotel also features a Cafe and our seasonal rooftop bar called The Crow’s Nest.

As the Restaurant Manager for our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:
1. Hire, train, supervise and discipline restaurant team members.
2. Create a positive team atmosphere and build capability through cross training.
3. Coach team members on how to exceed guest expectations.
4. Work with kitchen team members to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures.
5. Order supplies and monitor inventory levels.
6. Meet with sales representatives to order supplies such as food, liquor, tableware, cooking utensils, and cleaning items.
7. Maintain budget and demonstrate sound financial management.
8. Effectively forecast restaurant needs, and shift priorities and goals as business demands change.
9. Total receipts and balances against sales, cash, and deposit receipts.
10. Show enthusiasm about restaurant guests and is capable of handling guests with a friendly/calm attitude.
11. Proficiency in using computer software to monitor inventory, track schedules and perform other record keeping tasks.
12. Assist in planning regular and special events.
The position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:
1. College degree or related work experience or 5 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area with 3 years in a management position.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to speak clearly and listen attentively.
3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Effective problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to handle pressure with poise and finesse.
6. Positive attitude, outgoing and friendly personality.
7. Strong leadership and a professional image.
