Availability: Part to Full Time

Job Purpose
• Joining, reinforcing, or decorating materials by operating a sewing machine.
• Performing quality control checks on work performed

Duties
• Maintain a safe working environment, including cleaning of work area that may cause a safety concern.
• Prepare and gather materials and supplies for assembly.
• Prepare machines for sewing.
• Sews materials together by guiding material under machine needle.
• Adjusts machine performance on material by observing machine operation; detecting malfunctions and adjusting settings as necessary.
• Approve quality by inspecting materials and components as well as finished product.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and reporting repair requests to supervisor.
• Maintain materials and supplies inventory at work station and noting when additional supplies are needed.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs, if necessary

Skills/Qualifications
3-5 year minimum sewing experience.
Demonstrating manufacturing experience and quality, operation of controls and instrumentation, inspection and performing equipment maintenance, demonstrating manufacturing experience, inspection, critical decision making and problem solving, safety management, displaying job knowledge.

Compensation
• Entry level 20-30+ hours/week
• Salary $15 Per Hour
• Available hours increase with demonstrated skill and improvement
• Wage raise after 90 day introductory/probationary period
