Are you a skilled Handyman Professional? Are you tired of not being compensated for performing beyond the minimum? HandyPro is looking for craftsmen/handymen/construction professionals who want to serve customers and can work independently while supporting a growing business.
HandyPro provides a variety of home improvement, remodeling, repair, and handyman services to residential and commercial properties. We are also Certified Aging in Place Specialists who provide solutions for independent living and keeping seniors, those with disabilities, and caregivers safely and securely in their homes. We value honesty and integrity, and will treat our customers' property as if it were our own.
The duties are as follows:
Meet with customers and generate estimates
Handle a wide range of carpentry jobs
Repair existing electrical and plumbing fixtures
General remodeling
Flooring and tile work
Installing doors and frames
Drywall repairs and general home maintenance
Finish carpentry
Restoring decks and porches
Constructing wheelchair-accessible ramps and handrails.
Experience required:
Minimum 2 years of experience selling to residential customers in a consultative capacity.
Minimum 3 years of experience (or general knowledge) of home construction, kitchen and bath remodeling.
Must have a neat and professional appearance with strong oral and written communications skills.A clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
Short and long term goal oriented.
Computer skills (you will be expected to have a smartphone with a camera, email and texting and to be able to use the company's proprietary proposal and scheduling system).
MUST Have your own reliable transportation capable of carrying ladders and materials.
MUST Have your own basic tools
Current opening is for the Porter County / Michigan City area. We are not a leads service - We are a local legitimate business with both W2 employees and 1099 subcontractors.
Working Conditions include being outside in all types of weather and inside of customers' homes and businesses. You should be experienced in working on ladders, and heights if necessary. Must have own truck, power tools and equipment. You should be in good physical shape and have the ability to accomplish all assigned tasks. Must have excellent customer service skills and be willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. Women are encouraged to apply. Subcontractors are welcome. Retired persons are welcome
