Alpha Truck Repair Diesel Mechanic


Basic Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Computer Diagnostics, service and repair of Heavy Duty Diesel Trucks.
- Electrical Troubleshooting Experience is a Must.
- Ability to perform a preventative maintenance service, inspecting, identifying any repairing any deficiencies.
- MIG and Stick Welding Proficiency Required.
- Ability to make repairs to suspension components, springs, kingpins, etc.
- Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, starters, alternators, lights.
- Ability to remove and repair clutch and related components.
- Ability to diagnose and repair air brake systems.
- Ability to repair trailer walls/ceilings/flooring as needed.
- Perform open seat inspections to prepare tractor for next driver
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, lifts, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.

We are servicing mainly one fleet of 85 2016+ Freightliner Cascadia’s and 2016+ Utility Dryvan 4000dx plus small Reefer division. Outside work is welcomed when not working on the fleet’s needs. Some road service work will be performed in the future.

Hours
8:30am to 5pm with ½ hour lunch
Over time after 40 hours with potential for extra work

Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ Experience Required
A self-starter that works as a team member under direction of management
All applicants must have verifiable mechanical experience and have their own hand tools
Pre-Employment Physical & Drug Screen required
Background Check is required
Valid driver’s license required
Valid Diploma or GED required

Pay
20$ – 30$ per hour based on experience W-2
Bring ASE Certifications to interview
