Position is a flex schedule. We run Day and Night and weekends. 45+ hours a week required. Salary: 75k
This Position will work along other Mechanics and managers to complete all duties on time.
Diesel Technician/Mechanic
Position Overview erforms routine and extensive preventative maintenance. Brakes Hydraulic systems, diesel repair, tire repair, electrical diagnostics, transmission repair and maintenance, other procedures on equipment and general facility maintenance. Must keep a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Reporting Structure: General Manager
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
Reviews record of scheduled maintenance activities and record work performed and materials used
Facilitates a safe work environment by taking corrective action per monthly facility safety inspections
Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications and establishing personal networks
Performs work per company goals, manager’s priorities and / or documented procedures
Must possess skills to repair the following brand of equipment: Mack, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Caterpillar skid loaders and other various equipment.
Operates company trucks as required
Must demonstrate competency in all aspects of the job and company objectives
Demonstrate understanding of company policies, rules and trainings
Other duties as assigned
Desired Characteristics:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
3 or more years work experience in a similar role in a similar industry, with a strong mechanical background
Must work effectively independently, with others and as part of a team
Must be skilled at welding, electrical work, and hydraulics
Possesses technical understanding and attention to detail
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and be available on call for urgent matters
Must have the ability to perform the physical tasks of the job such as working in elevated and difficult positions as well as frequent bending, standing, and lifting (50-75 lbs)
Ability to work in various environmental conditions such as extreme heat or cold, dusty, dirty and/or wet conditions
Candidate must pass a pre-employment physical, background.
Able to fulfill flexible scheduling requirements as determined by the manager and / or business needs of the operation
