Job requirements: Experienced Window Blind Installers needed Immediately and Ongoing Independent contractors to install custom ordered blinds in residential customers homes and businesses throughout Northern Indian and with established, stable installation blind company. Standard piece rate percentage for independent contractors. Full time and part time work available. M-F work week, some weekends required. Hours will vary and will be influenced heavily on the wants and needs of our customers. Typical hours range from 8am-5pm, although specific hours can vary. Typical work week consists of 20 to 40 hours per week. Flexible shifts can be arranged. Potential. Temporary workers will be considered but long term commitment highly preferred.
Position requires daily travel (M-F and some Saturday's) throughout the Northern Indiana area. Will ONLY discuss details with qualified, serious applicants via phone call and ride along skills based interview.
MUST HAVE CLEAN BACKGROUND CHECK NO EXCEPTIONS. Must have drivers license, vehicle and auto insurance NO EXCEPTIONS. Must be self-motivated, clean-cut professional (tattoos ok, but no visible facial piercings). Excellent customer service skills and experienced attention to detail in measurement and installation required as part of independent skill set. Previous experience in home improvement services, repairs and/or construction ABSOLUTELY necessary. Previous window treatment installations, door, window, cabinet, millwork, finish carpentry, shutter or drapes experience is highly preferred.
Able to climb ladders Up to 20 feet, lift 15 - 30 lbs above head, take accurate measurements, operate power drills, follow instructions and display positive attitude, professionalism and strong work ethic at all times with customers, associates and amongst members of the team. Innovative thinking and ability to analyze and solve problems in the field to complete installations and measurements with safety and aesthetics in mind. Real time support available in person and over phone/video while in the field.
Additional Responsibilities and Duties: * Maintain all standards and procedures set forth by the Installation company to ensure a positive customer experience and a positive team dynamic. * Ensures all jobs are accurately documented & transmitted to the Install Team immediately upon completion. * Adheres to scheduled appointments as arranged by company and arrives at all appointments on time. * Follows all standards and procedures including material handling and work processes. * Provides exceptional customer service, and remains friendly, polite, courteous, and professional at all times. * Works to identify solutions with installation orientation or placement of the shades on-site when necessary. * Demonstrates the finished product in-home, reviews product operations, ensures the customer understands how to use the product properly and that the customer is satisfied. Clean up and disposal of all cardboard and garbage . * Solution-oriented and innovative thinking abilities * Strong and prompt communication skills * Excellent attention to detail and courtesy of customer, their home and their installation experience
