We are a food service distrubution company looking to fill a position as soon as possible. The purpose of this position as a dual role is to help with general shipping paperwork. The second purpose of this position is to complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Finalize/prepare invoice and documentation for delivery.
• Ensure timely of dispatch of freights.
• Print and review all customer invoices
• Maintain a dispatch log to record all details of pickup and delivery orders – customers’ orders, drivers’ information.
• Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
• Maintain many vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
• Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
• Address and respond to vendor inquiries
• IFTA data recording
• Receive and compile fuel reports; fuel used for each state monthly.
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Dispatcher must be able to work in a high-pressure environment
• Proven ability to work well in a team environment
• Collaborative personality
• Detail oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
• Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong analytic abilities
