Furniture Werks, one of the leading custom upholstery, furniture refinishing, and repair shops in the Chicagoland area, is seeking a skilled upholsterer to join our team.

Position: Experienced Upholsterer
Location: Michigan City, Indiana (50 minutes from downtown Chicago)
Wage: Competitive wage at $35.00/hour for 40 hours, overtime pay is time and a half.

Required Skills:
-Designer-quality upholstery
-Antique restoration
-Ability to make patterns without old patterns
-Proficiency in tufting and coil spring work
-Upholster new frames to match provided pictures
-Skilled sewing, including sewing and filling cushions
-Experience with both commercial and antique upholstery work

Preferred Skills:
-Demonstrated experience in high-quality upholstery work
-Strong work ethic and ability to work with little supervision
-Reliable transportation
-Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
