We are looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our established, 2 doctor private practice that opened in July 2006. Someone who is caring, compassionate, and dedicated to providing quality oral health care to our patients would be the ideal candidate.
We have three hygienist working each day. We allow 60 minutes for adult recall appointments and 90 minutes for adult new patient appointments.
We are looking for full time Mon-Fri or 2 part time hygienist. Please make us aware what position or days you are available.
Our office also works 1 Saturday a month from 8:00am-12:00pm. Will not be required to work all of them.
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform proper scaling and root planning procedures, including full mouth
debridement
*Document the presence of any abnormalities or suspected diseases or conditions
while screening patients’ teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues.
*Provide oral prophylaxis, fluoride, sealants, preventive dentistry procedures,
and non-surgical periodontal therapy
*Educate and instruct patients on importance of dental health, proper oral
hygiene; offer recommendations for products/services; provide other health care
education as necessary
*Schedule follow-up appointments and recommend patient recall intervals
*Ensure all OSHA, Dental Board, and WDS policies and procedures are properly
followed
*Documentation and charting within Dentrix; Electronic Health Records
*Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
*Minimum two years Associates degree (University-based dental hygiene programs,
baccalaureate and/or master's degrees preferred)
*State certification and successful completion of hygienist licensure
examinations
*Minimum of 1 year of work experience preferred but not required!
*Must have a current X-Ray License & CPR certification
