The person in this position will report to the Shop Supervisor and will work closely with the dispatcher, to schedule and perform preventative maintenance and repairs of our equipment. To be successful in this role, you must be able to take direction and complete all tasks as assigned.
The following shift is available:
Tuesday - Saturday 11 am to 730 pm
Primary responsibilities include:
Performing Heavy Diagnostics and repairs, preventive maintenance and BIT inspections.Insuring compliance with all state and federal transportation regulations and inspections.
Maintaining paperwork for vehicle/equipment files.
Inspecting all work before vehicle/equipment leaves the shop to ensure necessary work is done correctly.
Ensure shop and surrounding area is kept clean, and organized at all times.
Qualifications/Experience:
Be self motivated to work independently to complete assigned work and projects on time.
Be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Have own tools with an advanced mechanical aptitude.
Computer diagnostics experience.
Experience with brakes and suspension.
BIT & DOT experience.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be insurable under our insurance per company policy.
MINIMUM of 3 YEAR experience working on Diesel vehicles and equipment
Basic computer skills.
