The BLUE MOON LOUNGE is looking for a BARBACK. This is a BARBACK position, NOT bartender!
Are you looking to get into the Nightlife or the bar industry with little or no experience... This job might be for you.
Availability: Weekends mandatory, PM availability
We would like to find the right person to add to our staff immediately.
This position includes the following, but not limited to:
Ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods of time, meet physical and scheduling demands,
Must have a willingness to learn new things, personable, outgoing, and energetic team player with a positive attitude.
BarBack Requirements:
◾ Must be 21 years of age or older
◾ Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to handle tense situations with coworkers and customers calmly and rationally.
◾ Courteous, friendly personality and professional appearance
◾ Knowledge of bar items; including beers, wines, cocktails, and liquors a plus.
◾ Observant, thorough and responsible
◾ Basic math and computer skills
◾ Strong sense of urgency and be able to multi-task
Responsibilities:
◾ Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, collect empty/dirty glasses and stock glassware.
◾ Assisting with closing duties, such restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, napkins and emptying trash receptacles
◾ Checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs or changing out kegs, if needed.
◾ Pick up food, drink spills, broken dishes, and bottles
◾ Refill ice wells and other jobs not listed above
