HIRING: EXPERIENCED FLEET / SHOP MANAGER

SDM Transport Inc. is looking for an experienced Fleet / Shop Manager to lead daily diesel shop operations and fleet maintenance.

This is a hands-on management position. We are looking for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and a proven reputation in the trucking / repair industry.

Responsibilities:
• Manage daily shop operations, mechanics and workflow
• Coordinate fleet maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose and assist with repairs on Peterbilt, Volvo and Kenworth trucks and Cottrell trailers
• Perform / coordinate DOT inspections, test drives and roadside/mobile service
• Maintain accurate repair and service records in IRIS
• Coordinate parts inventory and repair priorities
• Keep the shop organized, productive and operating at maximum capacity
• Train, supervise and support mechanics and technicians

REQUIREMENTS:
• Several years of diesel mechanic experience required
• Previous fleet/shop management experience required
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Strong leadership, organization and communication skills
• Valid Class A CDL
• Experience with Peterbilt, Volvo, Kenworth and Cottrell equipment strongly preferred
• Good professional references required
• Must be dependable, responsible and able to manage the shop independently

Schedule:
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
Saturday: 7:00 AM–2:00 PM
