SA Trucking is Hiring a Fleet Manager — Woodstock, IL
We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to join our team in-house only at our Woodstock, Illinois location.
Must-have: Previous experience working in a trucking fleet department.
Key responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day fleet operations and truck availability.
2. Coordinate preventive maintenance and scheduled services.
3. Track truck repairs, breakdowns, and downtime.
4. Work closely with drivers regarding equipment-related issues.
5. Coordinate with repair shops, dealerships, and vendors.
6. Monitor truck inspections, registrations, permits, and required documentation.
7. Keep accurate fleet records, maintenance history, and repair expenses.
8. Control repair costs and identify unnecessary or repeated expenses.
9. Make sure trucks are road-ready and minimize equipment downtime.
10. Communicate closely with Safety, Dispatch, and Management regarding fleet issues and priorities.
We are looking for someone who is organized, responsible, proactive, and able to take ownership of the fleet department.
